A postie at my DO had knocked on a door a couple of days ago with a package that needed signing for, the wind was blowing and it was cold.
on waiting for around 30 seconds he said to himself " for F**K sake open the F**king door " but rather loudly.
as the house owner open the door Fred ( as we will call him ) watched the bloke put a £20 note back into his pocket as he had heard what was said, so no tip for poor old Freddie this year.
so girls and guys, remember to swear under your breath or wait until they have shut the door
One Postie at our office had someone come to the door with a £10 in his hand - the customer said "Here you go for your hard work" - Postie says "No its Okay mate" - Customer says, "Oh, all right" and shuts the door Postie left shocked and stunned on the doorstep and had the mickey taken out of him next day - moral of the story - take the tenner.

You really do have to careful what you say on the round. Had a few posties getting cheeky with young ladies and ended up getting a warning.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........
a woman i was delivering to about 5yrs back walked past me on her footpath, i offered her the mail, she said ''oh just put it in the porch, i need to catch the binman to give him his christmas box''. i didnt get one though. i think she was letting him empty more than just the bins.

dont wanna "class" folk, but even r'lass would sooner shag a postie than a smelly binman, so you must be pretty ugly,
come to think of it, she's noticed ours is off this week and keeping his tip til she she's him!

been told i look like mark hughes,,,,so draw you,re own conclusions,, i dont think i am(ugly) and wor lass thinks am lush,,,so there. i bet your lass wouldnt shag the postie that delivers to my hoose. he,s got a set of teeth like a row of condemned houses, and someones set fire to his face and put him out with a shovel, and he stinks. whereas the binman is a young lad in his early 30s and a posing fekka
I knew a bloke from school who became a bin man and a part time stripper . Was a few years back but he was on more cash then us and drove a Merc Clk. The girls loved him

I'll bet they did. I stumbled across one of them 'drunk women & stripper' videos recently , and it's like watching a Gobstoppers anonymous convention.
Got a envelope sent to the DO yesterday addressed to "the postie that does ****** drive"on the back it says "have a drink on me"so i gave it to the postie that does the duty,he opens it up and inside are 2 teabags and a thanks from Big Mary.
Once crawled up some steps in a flat at the end of a really, really long day. Panting and out of breath I pressed the bell and when the guy came to the door I handed him his packet with a single word "finally!". He took it to mean he had spent an age getting to the door. I meant it "finally, I have got your packet to you even though it's after 6pm."
