Hi. I was wondering if anyone could give me as much advice as possible (from posties, union reps and managers) about how to go about a transfer and the likelyhood of getting one.
I'd also be grateful to hear from anyone from either of the two delivery offices in Gwent (again posties, union reps and managers) about whether there are any postions open in either of these offices or anything nearby.

(P.s. Sorry if this is in the wrong place or if i'm not meant to ask this type of question, but I had no idea how else to find this information.)

Not good news from my experience..... RM only seem to allow this if your prepared to 'leave' and return on a new contract with reduced hours etcwoodface wrote:Hi. Thought I would need to call the office/offices but wasn't sure so nice to know.
Had a couple of people try to transfer from us. 1 got transfer, 1 had to leave the company altogether but this was a few years ago and had hoped things may have changed. How much wishful thinking. I'd better start learning how to cross all my toes now.
When I typed out the message last night I know I'd missed something but couldn't work out what. The area I'm asking about is Newport and the offices are: Newport east delivery office queensway meadows and one called 31 mill st Newport (although not sure if this is a delivery office or just a post ofice). Also one which I found a few weeks ago but haven't been able to find again called Abercarn delivery office. I'm claiming tiredness and not me being a dumbass for this oversight.

Just an addition. I've now found Newport East Queensway Meadows, Newport West Factory Rod and Usk delivery office Bridge Street. 31 Mill Street still says delivery offfice but really not sure about that now that it looks like there's two offices in Newport and can't find Abercarn at all now.
