Well said frankie, but should we do more of the same ie. rolling strikes, or 1 ,2 ,3 or 4 hour strikes to change tactics
Call strikes, then call them off at the last moment leaving managers in the wrong places
Or could we BALLOT for WORK TO RULE ( but keeping the existing stike ballot in place too )

You can do your own voluntary "Withdrawal of goodwill" like we have in our office. If you want to come in early fine they let you do it but most are sticking to it.

Of course, work to rule. It is not our rule but RMs' rule so how can they complain if we work as intended? Start work on your time, finish on your time, do not use private cars on delivery, work to your 318! If you do not have a 318, ask your rep and colleagues for help and advice - do NOT allow yourself to be bullied by anyone. There may be others in your office who do not agree but that is a matter for their own conscious. " Out brothers Out!"

We had a meeting to request a rule 13 ballot over the later starts a week ago and we asked the Union Officers from area that. I can't remember their exact answers but I got a definite feeling that the union don't like it as an option due to legal reasons (before you ask I don't know why). However, my own feeling is that for the Union it would cause a lot of extra work as people would be suspended and disciplined and this is what they are afraid of.oxon wrote:Official work to rule .
However, as we pay their wages they ought at least to get a feeling from the grass roots and if a WTR is what they want then that is what we should get.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
