xmas eve delivery ?

work in a small office,on 36 hrs a week worked 56 1/4 hrs this week and 55 hrs last week totally knackered,most us us want to finish a little early or on time christmas eve,especially myself with young children at home.we want to ask the DOM if we can do a little skimming on xmas eve ,deliver all the xmas cards,1st class mail etc and leave behind mailsort brochures and the general crap until we return to work afmer xmas,what are our chances of this being given the green light and anyboby done this in previous years or are any of you doing simular to this .

Just leave behind whatever you're not going to get delivered, not allowed to stream the mail so cutting off is the only option

Christmas eve has never been very heavy in our office anyway.

Home at 3pm on the dot regardless on Christmas Eve, or as early as I can push it. Bollocks to working over after the 5 previous no doubt ridiculous days.

our guvnor will just be pleased if we all turn up on xmas eve.
as for the work mailsort is building up now and today we have cleared
our parcels and packets,but tomorrow we will back to normal with parcels and
packets everywhere.

Its Saturday. No mailsort is delivered at our office on a Saturday anyhoo.

People stream the mailsort on Saturdays in ours as well. Never seen the point as it just makes Monday's even worse than they are already.

That said, surely you could skim a bit on xmas eve. Unless your boss is a complete numpty?

They were doing the rounds asking if anyone wants to start early on Christmas Eve for packets, I think they know theres going to be packets filling every space in the next few days
