michael platini wants to change the world cup in Qatar to the winter to save players dying in 50 degrees heat, So what about changing christmas to the summer to save posties dying falling down stairs in the icy conditions in which we awoke to, today, posties delivering at the busiest period in our year, in their shirt-sleeves sounds good to me, think I'm on a winner here!!! must tell Moya!!!!

I second the motion.
Having xmas in winter is obviously a bad idea.
On the one hand you are supposed to reduce your bag weights in severe weather conditions.
On the other you have a lino trying to ram 7 oversized Amazon packets in each bag.
I don't know what WCM would say about it but it doesn't seem very pokayoke to me.

How would the members react to a 4 week "no leave" period in June.
Wouldn't the fall in volumes in December mean snow lapsing?

Obviously the 6/7 week school break would have to move to the winter. This would be an enormous saving for all schools due to the reduced heating bill.
Summer lapsing would disappear and "snow lapsing" would be subject to a robust risk assessment. If you decided that the lapsing bit was unsafe in severe weather then your manager would support your decision.

Well I think they should change the clocks so we get more daylight in the evening (i.e Single Double Summer Time (SDST)). Its just does not feel right when your still delivering in the cold and dark at 4.00-5.00pm
