off sick .... ive had a letter !

been off sick 2 days and today being the second day i get a letter from my dom listing the rules i have to adhere to while im off sick , now i have phoned in once spoke to a collegue as no manager in yet said i wont be in today or tomorrow , friday is my day off and i will ring again to say if i will be in saturday , whats wrong with that ?
letter states that i must be contactable at my address or by phone then goes on to list loads of s**t about u must do this and that ...... blah blah blah .
so am i right in thinking this is a general letter sent by doms , i thought it was a bit quick as im only on day 2 off sick .... what do u guys think ?

just make sure you let them know the day before you are gonna go back so they know that you are coming in, get a self certificate from the quacks to cover your sickness for upto 7 days.

just make sure your dom knows that you will still be off sick and for roughly how long :)

Self-cert from the quacks? Never had one of them, all I've ever done is just fill in the relevant forms when I have my RTW.

That's good!!.. Got my letter same day!!.. Only left work at 6:30 got my letter at 10:30 had to sign for it!!..then got a phone call at 11:55 to see if I was getting better and when I would be back!!..gotta love em...

Ha ha i got one a few months back it said the dsm would like to interview me so i rang him told him piont blank all you need to know is on the sick note and i will ring my dom when i'm ready to return to work. All these letters are is bully boy tactics to get you back to work, dont fall for it.

The quack only needs to be involved if you're off beyond 7 days.

It's called a self-cert for good reason: YOU have to certify YOURSELF as off sick. Which is all incorporated into the RTW papers that you sign when you go back.

Wow you folks are lucky.
Whenever I am off sick I never get a "get well soon" letter or call from a concerned about my health, manager. nope, nothing. they just dont care...

dont hand out your phone number, make them come out to you, and then when they get there tell them you are off to the doctors.
