Asking posties to give a description of packet to make it easier for posties to find, ie large white jiffy bag, had a postie used to do this, his packets were so easy to find

I have always done it myself, makes it a lot easier for the guy in the callers office and means the customers can get away quicker from him as he is a bit of an ogre

Awww I hope I wasn't an ogre when I was in there. Only had one customer complain about me, manager said she complained about everyone tho

We never really had to because of our excellent filing system and our PHGs knowing where everything was

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I do it as well I write A4 DNB(do not bend), Amazon, Play.com, tube, contact lenses specsavers, large smelly packet from africa fulla rotten meat etc etc to name a few lol on things to help peeps in callers find the packet faster. I used to work in a callers office and saw a few posties do this, now I'm on deliveries again I do for the guys in the callers. I cannot overstate how helpful it is.
