what a great advert that was a reporter saying royal mail will have its busiest day of this year
with 130 million items going through the post, yet how many staff in the background working 1 (yes one).
must be a new revision at mount pleasent which our union has agreed on.

as for gerry good to see he has become a skinhead now.

So we've got new sorting centres, extra planes, extra trains and mail centres full of casuals!!

What about the delivery staff, how come there are no extra resources put in Delivery Offices??

We're still been made to do our absorbing!!

Bit heavier than a normal monday in our orifice.... think there is worse to come later on in the week.

The end of last week was a beeeyatch though, packets went through the roof!

I hear royal mail, say every year round about now is the busiest period.Well for me in a DO, it's always been the last monday before xmas.

Yes, excellent coverage of workers in Brighton lobbing packets into yorks - good job they weren't at our delivery office, that would have gone straight on the floor! I particularly liked BBC Breakfast yesterday when the reporter interviewing Gerry O'Rouke said 'Thanks for coming in so early' - it was gone 9am! He obviously has insider info on RM managers. Item was followed by Sooty and Sweep story, not sure which was funnier!!
