Holiday Forms 2012-13

Have you had your holiday request forms for next year yet.

I have asked my dom 4 or 5 times in the last two months as to when we are going to get ours and he says something about HR giving him the go ahead to release them to us??!!

we are only a small office but as my wife needs to book holiday time at her place of work, she can't do that until I have booked mine.

thats what I thought, I will badger him again tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day and so on until he gives us the forms.

will give him something to do over the xmas break lol

What's with the request form,my office your holiday dates get stuck on the wall,if they don't suit you have to go begging to your workmates for a swap.

if your a/l allocation has not been completed by the end of october then all you need to do to get the time off you need is to show a copy of your holiday booking form (to prove you have a holiday booked)to your manager and they have to allow you that time off.they might not like it but it is in the way forward.this has happened to me for the last 2 years and i have had the time off i needed,same for next year.

That's excellent news but can we have a hard copy of what you refer to......

Holidays are looked upon by RM these days as a privalage and not our RIGHTS ......

We are half way through our list then stop, the DOM just acts the goat, even after constant requests no progress, people are waiting to book their hollidays, but because he knows it is upseting the staff (this makes his day, yet he can't understand why very few will put themselves out) he makes excuse after excuse .....

So basically what you are stating that if the holliday allocation is not completed by the end of October and at that time a week / days off are not filled on the uncompleted holliday list, even though it is not our turn next, and we wanted that time for a holiday we need to book that holliday and present him with the booking form ???.....

Works in MC too, I had to do it last year but had to prove thre holiday was booked after the end of October and before the allocated me my leave. I booked on the internet and had to prove the booking date. Make sure its on the e-mail confirmation. I book every year on 26th Dec, my leave got allocated in January.
