if you're not happy with the area rep.....
.....where or rather who can you go to above them?
A mate is having a problem with area rep siding with both manager and sector manager.
Its an ongoing problem he feels he's being singled out by the manager.

Tell him to watch how he plays it mclovin.
As suffolk says you are usually talking about people who know each other well, sometimes share the same facilities, sometimes socialise together.
Avoid slagging the Area Rep off.
Put it down to "a lack of understanding/communication" rather than the ADR is on management's side.
Trust me...this can get messy.

the best thing you & your mate can do is get on with your jobs & stop bitching about something you have no control over.mclovin wrote:.....where or rather who can you go to above them?

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: if you're not happy with the area rep.....
A couple of things spring to mind.
This is a Forum where people like the poster and myself, (people who are kept in the dark about matters that concern them), come to ask Questions.
Am I correct? Now, this isn't Fight Club, you can speak about it and should.
It CANNOT get messy, whats the worse that can happen, and as for people who want to put their heads in the sand and say just get on with it, well, what can you say to that?
I posted the same sort of post about two weeks ago, and got two replies????????????????
The Branch does not run the UNION, and If you have a point I suggest you make it, because if you don't they will conspire against you. See my post on Protocol, believe, this is what happened to me and I'm not letting the matter rest.
As for your original post, well I can't really help, all I'll say is stay strong, follow your convictions, and NEVER lose your voice.

The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

Presumably obsessive compulsive disorder - can be quite serious in the extreme.daveyeff wrote:OCD ?mclovin wrote:Manager actually had one of the lads in the office and said he had OCD, in front of the area rep who said, sweet FA.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
It was his managers way of calling him a retard in what he thought was a socially acceptable way.
He should have been hung for it and the rep staring at his shoes is an embarrassment to the union.
He-Ho though that's accountability for you.
It'll no doubt be the members fault somewhere along the road.
