CSS AND SENIORITY

Can anyone help us as we have been doing css work for 18mths now,but the union has said we were not resourced correctly,the problem being there was a new agreement signed 6-8 weeks after applying for css machines that those senior applicants had to get them .This is 18 mths down the road .Has anyone else whos less senior than other applicants survived this problem ?

the only provision that enabled people to jump the que on the css machines were people who received night allowance within a three year period of night shifts closing. it was part of the MTSF agreement. it then went on seniority after that

i am a firm believer in seniority but i will make an exception in this case

if you have been doing the css machine work for 18 months with no bad reflection then custom and practice must kick inn

We were in receipt of mtsf allowance at the time

if you were in receipt of mtsf ref night allowance then you take top spot over seniority

We were in receipt of night allowance but lost our nights so went on to mtsf,applied for css got these jobs did the training but after 6 weeks a new agreement came out,but they"ve left it till now to take us off these duties after 18mths

if you were in receipt of night allowance as stated

you go top of the pile under MTSF
