Are you entitled to bank holidays credits

If you are sick ( AOD) over bank holiday's Ie Good friday/ Easter Monday, are you entitled to have these credited back on your Annual leave entitlement, my lino dom are refusing to do this.

if you are on the sick over a bank holiday period and covered by a sick note for that period then royal mail have to credit that day back

you are either sick, on holiday, or at work

the sick note is the key to cover the absence period

I had a self certificate along with a prescription for antibiotics as i had been bitten by a dog

as I said before they are saying I am not entitled to them, but they used the days as sick against me, surely you cannot have it both ways

its either or, either your off sick or you are at work. you cannot be both.
if your cert covers the period in question get your rep in and go to area to get them in to explain to your manager they are wrong. Ask for their decision in writing. even better write to your manager detailing your conversation cc in your rep and area rep, put 2 copies in ask them to keep one for their records and sign and give you one back. Physically hand it to the manager and stand there and wait for them to sign and hand it back. its likely they will refuse so write another letter stating this and do the same again. KEEP A DIARY OF EVENTS, the more evidence you can generate yourself helps you (and others) in the future best of luck hope this helps.

i didn't get mine and this has been asked before and the answer was a definite No, But saying that mine was a few years ago, now are hol entitlement includes some bank holidays.
I.e. 22.5 days + 5.5 Bank holidays = 28 the legal amount
so you may have a case
