we are a small office, usually we have about ten yorks of packets on a busy day, today we had 27, but no extra hours to deliver them in, so what's expected of us? keep the replies clean!!!

my point is, what other business would bury their heads in the sand, like our managers do, hoping their employees bail them out, instead of putting adequate measures in to deal with this increase in packets????

Make an extra special effort be the best in the land at booking excess then. Run a competition to see who books the most in a week and award them with a WCM on Monday morning (World Class Mug of tea). Make sure the manager knows what the score is.

Xmas seems to take RM by surprise every year. They spend all that time and money removing duties and introducing working practices which simpley dont work, even in the lighter summer months and then sit about sratching their heads when the mail volume increases at xmas.

indeed, we should do the job properly, instead WE HAVE ALL RACED THE FINISH LINE!! for many years and now they think the jobs easy, it's not it's not on no more, just do your time and go home at your designated time.... simples!!!

Same every year at my place,the packets start rolling in,no time to do them,no docket given,screws want to wait for xmas pressure hrs to kick in to get them cleared.
One year one of the muppets asked us if we want to come in and do them but take the hrs out of our xmas pressure,we told him bollox.It was the middle of Nov ffs.

Quick one to Royal Mail,the s**t hits the fan from late Sept if not earlier ffs.
