D2D payment fair??

what I don't agree with is getting paid pro-rata for d2d's

I deliver just as many as a full timer and I am on 25 hours a week, I get 12.68 they get 20.50!!!

Why?

and yes I prep all my d2d's in my alloted time but I do go over by around 30 mins on a monday slotting them into my frame for Tuesday delivery.

I have to do it this way as on a Wed / Thur / Fri by the time I have chucked in the rest of my mail, sorted the packets, bundled up, bagged, loaded my van, got my specials/tracked I have just enough time to do my delivery ( 3.15 del in 2:45 inc a 15 min lapsing ) ( no revision yet, two attempt to do so and both times the planner has gone off with stress )

Now I know that my timings are wrong and that I should not have enough time in my work day to do the above, but I do BUT I am still wondering why my d2d payment is less than a ft postie or that of a sorter / loader / PHG office worker or even mechanic for that matter.

The CWU agreed to this stupid way of paying it, so why can't they see that a PT employee gets what is fairly theirs, or should I just deliver the d2d's pro-rata and only deliver 62.5% of them?

i deliver just as many (not counted?) as my P&Loppo and he gets about a fiver week more, no argument as it was passed,
RM are laughing as there are now more shorter hour paid workers and pay peanuts to get them delivered, and i dont meat midgets!

I am PT, and I prep all of my d2d, as the person who preps my frame always buggers off, and leaves me with a load of mail and packets to prep, as well as d2d, when I arrive at 10.00 am.

So I prep and deliver the d2d, yet I get a lower delivery supplement than a FT, so I still don't know why that is.

ask the union cos i ain't a feckin clue!
also ask all those who get it who don't even touch a d2d or whatever they call em now but still get paid it!
to be honest, our "d2d" have gone way down over the last year, and after been a leave reserve for years getting nothing because the regular took them all, i now get a guaranteed £16-ish a week, flip side is i know a bloke with over a 1000 delivery points, £60 average down to £20

Interesting, so even though I am technically out delivering the same amount of hours as a FT I don't get paid as much as they do. Maybe they should change the name to a hourly supplement, as delivery supplement does not make sense, and sounds very unfair to PT workers such as myself.

That's what always made me laugh. You could be prepping for 5 hours and only our delivering to 3 houses for 3 hours (stupid example, I know) and get £20. Or come in and deliver to 600 houses for 5 hours for £15.

its a delivery office supplement, the supplement is for people who work in a delivery office supplement and the amount you get is determined on the hours you work, not just the hours you are contracted to, if you do a couple of hours over and above you contracted hours then you get extra delivery office supplement up to the max for 40hrs(or 39 after revision)

if thats the case then why are people who stay indoors allday getting a delivery supplement?? they can say what they ant but that payment is for door to doors! simple! it can be called what you like but only an idiot wud think its for anything other than d2drs! & the way its payed out is nothing short of a disgrace.
