PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS???
I had an interview on 9th this month. After couple of days my status turned to processing security checks DS and after a day it changed to "Processing Security checks"
I thought all is well. But, since that day it remained same. Do I need to worry now??
I dont know what to do now. As i am desperately need of job

I hope you get your job mate. I'm desperate too and your post worries me because my status hasn't been updated.

Checks normally take 2-3 weeks.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS???
my interview was 1st November. I received a provisional offer letter stating I'd start on 28th and they'd be in touch with me a week before to confirm
haven't heard from them, tried ringing many times and sent a few emails, no replies.

Re: PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS???
I had an interview on 31 Oct for Tyneside Mail Centre (did 6 weeks there last year), was given a start date of 25 Nov (today) and was told wait for security checks to be completed and I would be emailed or texted. No sign of any email or text, and my status on the Royal Mail website remained as 'Processing Security Checks', so I phoned Angard at the start of the week to be told that the start date was merely provisional, and that they would let me know if I was required should demand dictate - which was not what I was told at the interview/document check.
Like last year when I was called in 2 weeks early, some started on time where others started 2 weeks later. My guess is that they are taking it a week at a time and bringing people in as the demand requires.
