Asked to work when on sick

Last week went off sick (stress) took a doctors note in, line manager took me in office, cwu rep was there too. Lino asked what the problem was, said he'd put me on another round and could I come to work the following day. told him no, doc says I'm not fit for work, again told me he would change my round and there would be no stress so what is the problem with coming in.
How can he question a doctors note that says I'm not fit for work, and should I put a grievance in? This is the type of B&H that's causing the stress to start with

Spoke with Atos the day I went off sick, said they were going to call back early this week, and I'm still waiting. Hopefully doc will give me another note and hopefully I can ride xmas out at home

No offence to him but you don't need a nice guy in the office with you.
Your line manager can ask what you think is causing the stress.
You don't have to tell him.
He can suggest ways that Royal Mail can help.
He cannot diagnose,treat and cure your condition in one sentence.
He overstepped the mark and should have been slapped down for it.
Next time he suggests a meeting tell him to bring his boss and bring your area rep.

Don't even go in the DOM's office, its an invite so you can turn the invite down. If its formal request then he is required to put it in writing and give you at least 2 days notice I believe.

What happens when he moves the goal posts and then doesnt do what he said he would You meanwhile have now commited yourself despite what your sick note said.

Wish I was blagging. Like everyone else I've had enough. Don't want the overtime everyday, yet if i want to complete my round i'm going 1hr - 1hr 30 over. Managers will sign docket next day no questions asked, but the minute you mention cutting off their screaming and shouting, dragging you in office telling you you're too slow. Won't come out and test duty because geo route says it's ok. Been prep tested twice in recent weeks and passed both times
I don't want or need overtime, I'm fed up with getting home at 5pm, I've suffered in the past from mental illnesses, I don't need the b&h that is so prevalent throughout RM right now.
Sorry if my last post gave the impression that I'm somehow lapping this up

I know only to well what RM via its managers can and will do

if you have previous recorded episodes of stress and depression and there is a pattern and its occurred over a prolonged period you should be covered by the Disability Descrimination Act - check this out
if your covered tell him to shove it

i was up on a stage 3 but got all my episodes of depression discounted - it put me back down to a stage 1
