Your PDA lasted 6 hours
Oh and, just leave behind what you can't get delivered
Let the manager get it taken out and delivered

hows that work, were made to take out everyday, then bring back and that then goes out next day. i know in last 4 weeks where customers ( actual friends) havn't had birthday cards delivered because of this. royal mail are failing big time and someone should get the chop for it.

Re: what a sh** day !!
If you bring it back then it wont get delivered, if you don't take it out then they are under more pressure to get it delivered (they don't want their manager coming in and asking why there's a load of post still in frames). This is probably a way of the manager claiming that he has cleared the office.boogyman wrote:DGP1 wrote:Your PDA lasted 6 hours![]()

But either way you shouldn't be working over your time.

If we take it out we have to deliver it. I got disciplined for returning mail back to office I didn't have time to deliver. We have to tell lino what we're leaving in, then he goes mental cos he's gotta find someone to deliver it or take it himself

DPG1 don't worry i never go over my time the mail goes back. my question is then. can we leave it in or can they make us take it?DGP1 wrote:If you bring it back then it wont get delivered, if you don't take it out then they are under more pressure to get it delivered (they don't want their manager coming in and asking why there's a load of post still in frames). I cant remember that being part of any agreementListonosz wrote:If we take it out we have to deliver it.
Let him go mental, just dont let his antics intimidate you into doing more than you have to, in fact keep a record of his tantrums, they may come in handy.Listonosz wrote:We have to tell lino what we're leaving in, then he goes mental cos he's gotta find someone to deliver it or take it himself
I'm sure if you threw a hissy fit you'd be hauled into the office pdq.

Re: what a sh** day !!
You don't tell him what you are leaving, he tells you, if he misjudges it and you finish earlier then it's his fault, if you finish on your time and bring some back then it's his fault. Don't take responsibility that a manager gets paid for.Listonosz wrote:If we take it out we have to deliver it. I got disciplined for returning mail back to office I didn't have time to deliver. Re: what a sh** day !!
my rep told me today that you give your line manager the choice of leave what you think you wont deliver within your time or bring back what you dont deliver
which is the choice theyve got tomorrow cos im fu***d and i dont think the new guy will want it either, funny enough he got a text of a job offer from ups he said he applied for a little while ago ,
wonder what today has done to his thinking ,especially as he didnt finish what ever duty he was doin on sat till 4 and gettin back to a locked up office

yep best pda ive had usually only last between 20 mins to 4 hrs ,and it would have actually been cheaper for them to have had it delivered on docket .DGP1 wrote:Your PDA lasted 6 hours![]()

Van share problems like this will always be there i'm afraid.
Work that late?----Dont think so! Newbe or no, sorry new entrant, welcome to RM, I'm off home let them jerkoff's worry about delivering the mail,
I have, actually gotta life and they think no more of you at all to work way beyond your time to complete when they are at home hours before you
ticking off their 'please sir I have done this as you ordered' list!!

Re: what a sh** day !!
You tell your line manager you cannot complete and the decision is his. He sees the amount of mail, he sees the time, it's his job to ascertain how much is required to be left, why make it easy?twobags wrote:my rep told me today that you give your line manager the choice of leave what you think you wont deliver within your time or bring back what you dont deliverwhich is the choice theyve got tomorrow cos im fu***d and i dont think the new guy will want it either, funny enough he got a text of a job offer from ups he said he applied for a little while ago ,
