start date preston

Anyone been given a start date for preston yet after the "security checks passed" stage ?

Been stuck on that for three weeks now. Phoned them, they told me to wait for a phone call

I phoned them to ask them when do I start, they told me the date I start and also sent me an email to confirm it.

i rang them to enquire about it as my laptop wasnt working at the time so i couldnt check my emails,my provisional date was the 24th of november,the woman then said i start on the 28th of november,sent me the contract and confirmation etc,then half an hour later another email saying change of date to the 5th,i then rang them and asked cos the date has been pushed back a week do i still get a months worth of work,she said yeah,ive still got a few things to ask them myself so im ringing back another time,everytime i ring them i always ask if there is a gauranteed job for me,they say yes as ive passed security checks and that preston night shifts are hard to fill as most applicants are students and can only do part time evening shifts mostly,how are you getting on for news etc
