travel expenses
I am this week working my week off at another DO it is 20 miles from my home and the walk is 9 mile from the DO AND I am using my own vechicle a total of 48 miles round trip including the travel to the walk . what mileage can I Claim ,also asked to start an hour earlier as i am on a25hr contract.

speak to your line manager for a travel and subsistance form
i believe it is either 40 or 45 pence per mile
if they refuse to pay it, tell the manager he will have to make provision to get you there and back in your duty time

Since you are going to the other office to do OT, nothing unless you have agreed otherwise with the manager of that office in advance. Going to do OT in another office on your week off is not the same as being sent to work in another office in your contracted hours.

Royal Mail pay 45p per mile, make sure the DOM at the office you are working at has logged it into his laptop or pc.
You will get it paid into your wages and it will show up on your wage slip.
