Delivery Job Reviewed because of accident book

I got squashed between two royal mail vans about two weeks ago when I was checking my oil level, some idiot reversed into me from about 20m away, I obviously hurt my knees and had some damage behind my knees but am able to limp around, I was told by a manager it would be best to come in on light duties otherwise it would trigger a stage 1 and that a sick absence record was the easiest way to get rid of someone which would not be a good idea with past issues I have had with my DOM.
I came into work on light duties for fear of risk to my job, however halfway through filling out my accident report I get called in to see the DOM who said he has been looking through my accident book and I have had 5 accidents in the past 5 years (trapped nerve in my neck lifting overweight packet bag, cut finger after size door catch failing, burn to wrist from tea urn, top was not fitted correctly, fractured thumb on faulty cast iron gate, and knee injury due to being run over)
He said that I had the highest number of accidents in the office (A lie) and that why he was looking at me first, and the only way he could think of to stop me having accidents would be to look at removing me from duty as a delivery post man and I am waiting for a phone call from ATOS so he can make his decision based on their report. I am confused only one of the five accidents resulted in an absence of 1/2 a day because the hospital gave my drugs making impossible to drive or work. four of the five accidents happened on the premises not on delivery, he also said that would mean moving me to an indoor job which there are none in my office so he would have to move me out of my current office, My DOM also brought up the fact that I gave out his phone number to a customer about five months ago.
I seems to me not only am I being penalized for following the law and RM procedures by recording my accidents in the accident book, but my DOM is using this to remove me out of the office because of a personal vendetta he has with me. The CWU are aware but nothing has been done to stop this process. I would not be able to afford to travel to an office out of the area, and I am more than capable of doing my outdoor delivery as I have done so for the last 8 1/2 years with no problems.

go to dhss and fill out an accident at work form then if it is found to be an accident at work sue royal mail

Get in touch with the DWP (0845 6031358) to make a claim for an industrial injury, they will send out a pack that you must fill in
Ask your rep for an LS 3 form and fill that out and send off to your branch. keep a copy.
you suggest you are not at the top of the accident list, speak to the local/area H and S rep and ask them if this is the case and give your reason for asking. they do not need to name names but they may be able to confirm your belief, they will have copies of all ERICA's/ accident book reports filled out. Brothermaygrew (apologies for spelling) is possibly the best one to ask there.
should that pan out fill out a stage 2 grievance making it clear that you believe your DOM's motivation for this is handing out their phone number and not that you are the most accident prone person. The stage2 goes straight to the DSM. You must keep copies of everything.
From now on DO NOT go into any room for ANY reason without a witness to any possible conversations. We all forget every now and then and are caught off guard, so stop the meeting and go and get a witness.
If its all above board they won't have a problem, however watch out for the old "there's no need for that is there?" or similar line.
Do not forget you are fighting for your future, these DOM's are doing it to occupy their working day.

Maybe go to citizens advice aswell and speak to them. The law is on your side, you have rights, so you need to get the best information and advice possible. Good luck and dont let the bastards grind you down.

they carnt give you a stage for aaccedent at work ive been through it but gett on to the dss for industrial injurys i did they realy do help you

they can give you a stage 1 warning for an AOD, it happened to me, fell down stairs on ice, they said, I should have held on to the bannister coming down the stairs, I had 4 packets in my arms at the time, nothing free to hold the bannister!!!

If anything, surely its the fault of the driver of the van that hit you, not your fault for getting hit, especially if you were doing an oil check, presumably therefore not in a stupid place.

Have filled in and sent LS 3 form.
I have had 2 phone calls with ATOS they said that I was fit for returning to normal delivery and that there was no indication that an indoor job would make me any safer as only 1 out of the five accidents occurred out on delivery.
I am now issuing another grievance.

They can & will give you a stage for an AOD. I had one for the AOD I had and 1 for the op caused by the AOD.

do not worry about the issuing or not of the stage warning.
if you are issued, and based on your information supplied, i would take out a grievance against the manager issuing for incorrect application of the attendance procedure.
Be mindful that the attendance procedure has its own appeals process and that the grievance is in not against the attendance procedure itself but its application.

I'm sure there's something in the notes about AODs and pregnancy and stage warnings not being issued for absences related to either...? I can't recall the wording though.
