Removal of pouch boxes

Post by steviemac »

We will be having an outdoor revision next year with planners etc involvement. Is it true that pouch boxes are to be removed as they incur a cost to local council ? Any memo's or links appreciated.

Yep,cost to the council,we have a bloke called Reg on our patch,he dusts them down, wipes them over ect.
It like the Severn bridge, once he's done them all it's time to go around again.
They must be getting rid of him, poor sod.

Looks like removal depends on the enthusiasm of the Area or Divisional managers if some are still being used.

The council in my area would'nt allow pouch boxes to be put up. They did manage to get 2 installed a few years back both on householders land. Not that they are needed now, never heard of anyone going round cleaning them in other towns though.
