Do you have Callers/Enquiry Office and Registered/Special office in same place or two different rooms/places?

But in many SPDOs there's room for neither a Callers/Enquiry Office nor a Registered/Special office

Ours was only one room I suppose. Secure in that only "PHGs" and managers were allowed in there, Specials were kept locked in the safe, everything else was on shelves in a room between the bit the customers see and the room where all the specials are handled... does that make sense? Like a room divided into 3...

we have this in our office and its a pain in the ass when we want to get our specials and the PHG is sorting out the public

The PHG hands the specials to the posties through a hatch or opens the door and wheels them out in "coffins" if they're too numerous or large to go thru the hatch (the SDs that is, not the posties)... in that room there's a safe where the other specials that are awaiting collection are kept... then there's a wall and all the other packets etc are stored... then there's another wall and there's the caller's office window hatch bit.... I'm not sure what else you're getting at?

who holds the keys how many p.h.g.s are there. when is the time they have their breaks.
you forgot to say the safe code number also when is it the best time to turn your office over!!

One room, security very hap hazard. Posties who have worked @ office all their lives not allowed in, cleaner only employed a couple of weeks ago comes and goes as he pleases. In fact if locker personel are serving he will even give you your specials

Yes we have had specials go missing, but it was only managers doing posties jobs and not signing for them so that was allright No need for any discipline.....

Dunno, I don't work there anymore

Although there was this time when the door was a bit iffy and I came back into the "back" room from the callers off where the other PHG was sitting doing the kill offs and there was this other guy just stood in there. I panicked and said to my colleague "Er... who's that?" He replied "No idea, never seen him before in my life" and then carried on with the kill offs The guy then introduced himself as being from IB and said he'd managed to walk all around the D.O. unchallenged (someone had left the outside door open which we couldn't have seen or known about from where we were) and then he'd managed to walk into the RLE because the last person to leave the RLE hadn't pulled the door to properly (we were waiting for ROMEC to come out and fix it).

The other PHG said to this IB guy "I'm not passing the buck, but it wasn't me." Now, considering I was the only other person in the D.O. at the time as far as the IB guy could see, thanks for that! Luckily the manager that had left the RLE about 10 minutes before, whilst I was in the callers office, and where I had been the whole time the IB guy had been wandering around, fessed up to being the last one to leave the room. But what a s**t my "colleague" was!

I also got fed up of my other colleagues in the D.O. leaving the outside door open whilst I was alone in the RLE. I'd be in there getting all the work done and ready and next thing, a customer would be there wanting to collect a parcel while we were closed, but thought they'd come in anyway because the other door was open. So, in the end I put a sign on the outside door stating that it must remain closed when not in use at all times, and some tit wrote at the bottom "Why?". I think the DOM saw his arse about that stupid comment and did a WTLL about it
