Notice of Change of round

Sorry if this has been asked before but my child is being looked after by grandmother tomoz sat, because original P/T round finished in time for Grandmother to still get on with her own life afterwards.

Today P/T round changed to full time and hence no child cover by grandmother or anyone else. NOW stuck at short notice. What do I do and can they change the round at such short notice. I have known about PT round on sat all week and masde the arrangemenst, this when it was changed an hour ago. Not happy

Am I missing something here?, explain you have child care arranged and you can't work past your original finish time, say you're happy to do either round but must finish at the original time............

I have baby of 18 months.

I am relief postie ding full and part time rounds three days a week (inc sats)

I was told at beginning of week I am on p/t and got my mum to look after baby till 11am tomoorow when she has to got to work. By busting a gut I can get done by 11 and boss had no probs with this. Today he changed me to a F/T round for tomoz and now I wont get done by 11am. With mum havng to go to work I have nobody to look after child. Is this right?

Firstly it's Mr Legs!!! lol Secondly, No it's not right, but he probably feels he can walk all over you, put a stop to it and it won't/shouldn't happen again.

It's not easy standing up to your DOM, but once you do it you'll find life gets a little easier as they focus on other prey!

Its ok standing up for him if I have facts. Can he do this at short notice. Is anything in writing on this site that I can shove under his nose TA

It depends what your contracted hours are.
This is the only line in the sand you can draw.
If 11am is your finishing time...fine...you can tell your manager that's when you will be finishing and there isn't much he can do about it.
If it isn't and you are relying on finishing early...forget it.
