bullying & harrassment issue.
a colleague from a neighbouring office told me he had put a b&h allegation in against his dom. he said he,d been on the phone about it and they told him to leave it with them and they would be in touch. today he recieved a letter from human resources saying they didnt think the claim was suitable to stand as a b&h, and if he wanted to take it further he should do so as a grievance and not b&h. he said it seemed as if they were trying to protect the dom. is ''human resources'' not the recruiting arm of royal mail. ?? i would,ve thought the letter would,ve been from the b&h helpline. if they are part of royal mail then surely they would be biased towards the company. can anyone shed light on it.

You need to file the B & H form yourself, ie direct without HR input. Ring the B & H helpline and get the form sent to you.daveyeff wrote:a colleague from a neighbouring office told me he had put a b&h allegation in against his dom. he said he,d been on the phone about it and they told him to leave it with them and they would be in touch. today he recieved a letter from human resources saying they didnt think the claim was suitable to stand as a b&h, and if he wanted to take it further he should do so as a grievance and not b&h. he said it seemed as if they were trying to protect the dom. is ''human resources'' not the recruiting arm of royal mail. ?? i would,ve thought the letter would,ve been from the b&h helpline. if they are part of royal mail then surely they would be biased towards the company. can anyone shed light on it.

HR dont have a clue on B+H but what ican tell you they let DOMS know when you are chasing a greivance to be resolved.I was dismissed for Wilful Delay shortly after they think they have got away with it but believe me no one who lies and colludes to get me sacked has got it coming to them through the courts of course .Just for the record i filed a B+H complaint first .Then the same individual who sacked me 6 months later asked me to withdraw the greivance. In response to the question of the company being biased thats a big fat yes .Corrupt from the top down to LINOS/DOMSdaveyeff wrote:a colleague from a neighbouring office told me he had put a b&h allegation in against his dom. he said he,d been on the phone about it and they told him to leave it with them and they would be in touch. today he recieved a letter from human resources saying they didnt think the claim was suitable to stand as a b&h, and if he wanted to take it further he should do so as a grievance and not b&h. he said it seemed as if they were trying to protect the dom. is ''human resources'' not the recruiting arm of royal mail. ?? i would,ve thought the letter would,ve been from the b&h helpline. if they are part of royal mail then surely they would be biased towards the company. can anyone shed light on it.

Its still within RM im afraid, RM are corrupt from Moya downwards, don't believe for 1 second she does not know what is going on, she has a another agenda. This proberly will be her last full time job, she will have her exit to leave RM already planned.parcelboy wrote:HR dont have a clue on B+H but what ican tell you they let DOMS know when you are chasing a greivance to be resolved.I was dismissed for Wilful Delay shortly after they think they have got away with it but believe me no one who lies and colludes to get me sacked has got it coming to them through the courts of course .Just for the record i filed a B+H complaint first .Then the same individual who sacked me 6 months later asked me to withdraw the greivance.

Re: bullying & harrassment issue.
i get the feeling that the b&h procedure is similar if not exactly the same as ''the press complaints'' authority. you complain about the press, and your complaint is investigated by,,,,,,,THE PRESS. you do like wise with royal mail, and it gets investigated by,,,,,,ROYAL MAIL. it should be someone totally independent and unbiased.

I had exactly the same sent to me, I'd already lodged a grievance that was ignored! What a bunch of wasters HR are!recieved a letter from human resources saying they didnt think the claim was suitable to stand as a b&h, and if he wanted to take it further he should do so as a grievance and not b&h.

Is the service independent? Yes, it is. The service is run by an independent counselling provider totally separate from the Royal Mail Group. This allows them to give the caller impartial and unbiased advice, professional support and guidance.

Re: bullying & harrassment issue.
This is now becoming normal practice for HR to downgrade B&H to a Grievance issue and they say this is because it is down to procedural issues. They do not consider victimisation, singling someone out, as being B&H. You have to have been physically manhandled or sworn at for them to consider a B&H case against a manager. Apparently by downgrading they are making the company look far better as far as it,s industrial relations are concerned, and no doubt this is a result of the world class mail initiatives.
