Has anyone delivered a special using a pda and the information hasn't downloaded properly? so there is no record of it? what would happen if this occurred and you were sure you delivered it correctly?

yes a few times but they say it downloads when rebooted told them they were deliverd and for them to sort the s**t scanners out

Ask if they can have a look on the GPS bits and bobs that tells them where the specials were scanned to see if it's perhaps showing up on there instead? I know there's a screen the DOM can look at that tells them the times and locations where the specials were scanned.

Failing that, it might just be a case of technology failing and it might appear on the system in good time

Not much else you can do besides get the customer to sign a piece of paper too, which is a little overkill What are they wanting to do about it? Slap on the wrist or conduct code?

PDAs are the biggest piece of **** going. I threw mine at a wall and the wall fell down .

If there's one thing about the PDAs it's that they are really tough, mine has been kicked up and down the carpark on several occasions and it's still working but it still crashes, it still won't connect to the network, it still refuses to work at all but I've found that just removing the battery for a couple of minutes will sort any problems out

the p.d.a is not my favorite toy.
today due to being slaughted with packets and parcels my p.d.a packed up by midday
so all the tracked and recordeds barcodes are on a bit of paper in my van with the rest
of the 739 parcels and then i get back to my office all in darkness and locked up so another office failure.
when is xmas pressure?

as long as youve delivered it it WILL download in the end
