Dear Colleagues,
STEWART BLAIK - MEMBER AND ACTIVIST IN THE POEU, NCU AND CWU FOR MORE THAN 50 YEARS
Branches would want to know that Stewart Blaik, who was the Branch Financial Secretary of the Edinburgh Dundee & Borders Branch for many years, has sadly passed away, very suddenly, last week.
Stewart was a stalwart of the Union and there is no doubt that his contribution to the affairs of the Union will long be remembered. I am sure there will be many people in the Union who will have their own memories of Stewart and I have no doubt his passing will leave a big gap in many peoples lives.
The funeral is due to take place on Friday 18th November at 10.00 a.m. at the Seafield Crematorium, 1 Seafield Road, Edinburgh, EH8 7LD.
I am sure you would wish to join us in sending sincere condolences to Stewart’s family.
The family have asked for family flowers only but, if desired, donations to Alzheimer’s Society, Scotland.
