Oldham Christmas Casuals
Has anyone heard anything from angard about the oldham christmas casuals i was given a provisional offer and was told i would be emailed in 10 days this was on the 24th october. My status on the royal mail website is still interview booked, so was wondering if anyone had, had anymore progress before i begin the chase up?

Don't wait, just chase them up. There are a lot of people on here, who've only got start dates, because they pestered Angard. Good luck.

Re: Oldham Christmas Casuals
I'm in the same boat but I signed up for Preston.
Believe me, trying to pester Angard into anything is like getting blood out of a stone. Ringing them =
.
What dates did you pick to start Danny? Just wondering if they haven't started processing any security checks for those starting in December yet.
Anyone out there due to start in December with anything other than a "Interview Booked" status?

Re: Oldham Christmas Casuals
I was never given a start date just a provisional offer for a 2-10 shift as long as vetting procedures were passed, i was told id be emailed in 10 days, but a crb takes a minimum of two weeks? ha! Any how, they haven't been in touch so i think a call is due tomorrow. Temporary work is pretty important to me in winter, as it enables me to take up my summer job in sunnier climates!

Re: Oldham Christmas Casuals
Just a quick update, just got a call from a recruitment agency offering me a job at a parcel force depot, same pay rate, said i would start the job after the crb check (2weeks)
Will this be any different to the royal mail job and why wasnt it angard who were doing recruitment?

I don't know. Perhaps Parcel Force doesn't want to use Royal Mail's Agency. If I'm right, then it's a VERY good move on PF's part.

Re: Oldham Christmas Casuals
Well i never ended up hearing from angard after my provisional offer an absoloute shambles of a company, actually glad i will not be working fror them, I am now starting work for parcel force on monday which is a big relief as i thought i wasnt going to have any work before christmas.
I imagine it will be a similar job just thatll be sorting parcels rather than letters? Anyone had any experience working with parcel force?
