So long as you get them there before 1pm it shouldn't matter really should it? My place start ringing you up at 12.15 to see if you've delivered them so I tend to do them first now for less agro

Thats easily solved, they cant ring you if you dont use a mobile phone.
A lot of postmen at my office dont use them

It's your choice if you have a mobile or not.

Sounds like another case of a "control freak" manager to me. Surely it's just a matter of time before someone reports a manager for harassment?

I do have a phone but its switched off, i only use it to tell them i'm not going to complete. I'm a reserve

If that's what they want, that's what they get! If it takes you longer to complete the rest of your delivery because you've had to go all a*se about t*t to deliver them first, then it's up to them to work out how to deliver the mail you bring back.

Why does it matter, you just do whatever they want (within your time) and cut off the rest.

As for the phone calls..............they don't have my number so they can't ring me on it, they can ring me on my PDA but not on my phone and I most certainly wont be ringing them...........unless it's a real emergency like my van blowing up or aliens abducting me then I might

Was told the same a couple of weeks ago,did as I was told (cause I always do ) cut off parcels 3 days in a row,then got asked if it was better doing it as before DUH !!!!! --- gave my normal answer of its up to you boss

No problem doing that - On our first route my van share partner has two loops to my three - all the loops are linked so he can choose to deliver specials against any one of my delivery loops depending on how close to the special deadline we are. I can only remember one occasion on a particularly bad day that he had to deliver them during my first loop.
