Since reading the various posts over the last few years...again and again it crops up....Royal Mail running out of cash by March,April,May etc and yet it still ambles on?Another popular topic is the pension pot etc is on the verge of collapse....doomed,doomed?There is know doubt that changes are on the way,CWU is caught between a rock and a hard place and staff levels are slowly being eroded...what does the future hold...??

i wouldnt believe all the rumours you here or read,most of the poverty talk is about as true as the mail dropping off 10% a year when managers from the top to the bottom stop getting their huge bonus payments thats the real time to worry & that aint notime soon as i see it

Agreed. The CWU have now an independent auditor in regards to the accounts. What is expected is the £300 million to pay in the pensions will be a struggle,(I'm putting it mildly). Looks like it could be "pushed" to September 2012,(rather then the anticipated date of April 2012).

However even if you had successful revisions all over the country it wouldn't make a difference,so any line manager that tells you otherwise,(or the famous "action plan going forward"...I hate when they say that!),is talking crap!. I think we should wait for the EU decision on state aid. The only thing that is certain is your 50 first class stamps and (non inflation rate), Christmas bonus.

Until then keep checking this forum as members tend to panic. RMC can handle the truth!

The problem with that,and i'm not knocking it is that because it is just an overall CWU facebook page it tends to get swamped by many different issues from all sections of the CWU.
This makes it clumsy,difficult to read and ultimately like wading through treacle.
