BSi,planned motivated,no stress or fatigue.
with royal mail railroading the revisions at 100 % bsi, and taking no account of fatigue etc in there robotic world
what is the best way to go on the attack with reference stress etc
all i have is the performance standards agreement
but that is done over a minute only, not sorting say 34 items a minute over say 40 minutes
DO WE HAVE ANYTHING IN BLACK AND WHITE ON THIS TO THROW AT MANAGERS
how can they average say 40 minutes work over the findings on a one minute prep test

You could do what they do and just make it up on the spot, if they want it in writing, just tell them you'll get back to them.

Re: BSi,planned motivated,no stress or fatigue.
You could give your manager a copy of the national BT2010 agreement and ask him to point out where it mentions 100 BSI and where it states an office has to agree a revision linked to 100 BSi.
Equally you could just say no we are not agreeing a revision and we will go to disagreement until your office is satisfied the revision is what you believe is a good deal.

Well your rep is wrong ! The cwu have never agreed 100 bsi and bob Gibson has told every branch that and it's even it his recent summary on delivery issues .

Well that's not really 100% true is it?dingo wrote:Well your rep is wrong ! The cwu have never agreed 100 bsi and bob Gibson has told every branch that and it's even it his recent summary on delivery issues .
The CWU agreed to using these revisions to move towards 100BSI.
Not in one step granted...but that is the final target.
Tell me dingo Acas consider that when moving from 75BSI to 100BSI... the incentive used should increase your earning by approx a third.
Aren't we missing something?

Re: BSi,planned motivated,no stress or fatigue.
when people have there weekly revision planning meetings with the planners, dom, dsm, etc
why is the area rep not involved also
they have been trying for the last 18 months in my office to bring in the revision
still at stage 2
the div rep is now involved as they will not deal with my stage 3 disagreement
such fun

Neither is it all about agreement - turning a blind eye helps.

on this site you hear of revisions being put in at offices why do reps sign off everthing.
the longer you dont agree to revisions the worst the managers become.
stress them out and they will take e.v.r or be moved (managers have no friends).

Re: BSi,planned motivated,no stress or fatigue.
I'm not condoning reps "overeagerness" to agree revisions though a lot of these revisions seem to have had at least some "persuasion" from Area and above...why i don't know.north london driver wrote: the longer you dont agree to revisions the worst the managers become.
What you also have to understand is that the net result of stalling revisions will not necessarily be good revisions but the watering down of the revision process altogether.
We've already seen that with the extension of the BTA into what looks like 2015 and later starts being bought for revision payments without the benefits to members that delivery methods, new attendance patterns and the shorter working week brings.
The longer the revision process drags out the more chance you will have of being caught in the nuclear option which will come when RM is privatised, changes imposed not negotiated and the union effectively sidelined.
It's not a pretty picture i'm painting but it is realistic.
We will be unskilled labour in a world full of unskilled labour.
The changes will be rapid and severe and no amount of union blustering will save us unless the membership can be organised and galvanised to fight.
Can i see that happening with the leadership we have and the legacy of the "deal of the century"?
No.
