Tieing Up Backwards

I'm on a new round and the fitting is very strange for 2x streets. You start at 1 and end at 2 as normal, but the fitting goes 52 - 2, 37 - 1. Today I had to have the bundle upside down (addresses down) and turn the letters over as I walked as I didn't know. To tie them up properly is there any way other than pulling each house out backwards one by one?

Hehe, no you can't do that because it would still all be face down Even if you start at the other end of the street you would still end up doing it wrong.

According to your post take out the evens, then turn the bundle over so the letters are lying face down. Then take the odd numbers in order, and put them face up on the evens.

If done correctly 1 side is evens the other is odds. Then when out on delivery you zig zag down the street (Turning the bundle over as you go). The only other way is to pull it out in the order you will be delivering, but you'll have to have a good memory to do that.

Once you have a delivery methods revision this will be very rare.
Back to backing with a trolley isn't very clever.

Thanks for that - I see what you mean now. It's a bit clumsy though, they'd be better changing the fitting really. I'll try it tomrrow though!

It is a little clumsy but it saves dead walking back to the beginning. It also feels a bit slower when your doing it but it takes about the same time, very useful here in Huddersfield where we have hills, no point in climbing up one when you can avoid it.

Our last revision plan had someone backing a dual carriageway

Why not make the frame in order with the back to back in place.. ie..

57, 55, 53, 56, 54, 52, 51, 49, 47, 50, 48, 46.. etc.

Saves the turning round and won't confuse when someones new to the frame, like this has. Might be a bit confusing to prep, but not that much (all the 50s are the same area, all the 40s, etc..)

quite common AFTER our revision, loads of cock ups, a newby going on most duties here would get puzzled and have loads of dead walking for nowt

See that. But how about it's easy to prep and then have a bagging up sheet. Always works for me
