New way of sorting

My office hasn't had it's revision yet,it's due in january. But this week they have brought in a new way of sorting,and it's a right mess! 1 postman throws off 2 rounds while the other does ips,and instead of having 7ish ppl on packets they have 3 and only 3 ppl doing parcels when there used to be about 7. What is wrong with management?it's a total mess,and lots of overtime booked!

And our main manager has a weeks holiday,timed that well!

Just hope some ppl get the balls to cut off and others to stop coming in early,do as the managers tell us to do and watch it fail!

Double prepping is a big buzz word,or rather 2 words.It aint going away either.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Absolutely true. And the reason is that there is presumed to be too much time pre-revision dedicated to IPS and so double prepping is common together with later starts for one member of a P&L team who then returns to the depot drops his colleague off, loads up with parcels and goes out again.

been doing this for a long time where i am some days we only have 5 sorting and 2 on packets is a joke at times but its here to stay with all the part time walks to be thrown in

been doing this for a while in our place too. in fact sometimes on a tuesday we TRIPLE prep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and do DOUBLE lapsing!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is exactly where RM is laughing,90% of my office are spineless runners and panickers,they're never gonna change their spots. :sad:
