Q - Overtime

Ok here is the scenario:

You do your normal round then get asked to do another round that day which normally takes 4 1/2 hours. You finish early, do you claim the whole 4 1/2 or the 3 that it took you?

If you didn't have an agreement beforehand book what it took you.
Next time make the deal then do the O.T.

well our days are 8hrs50 mins a day, thats how we get 9 day fortnights and 3weeks on 1off

if your duty times are 8.50 and say you start at 6.00am and do overtime 1/2 duty
this makes you a finishing time of 19.15 a bit dark in it.

well i dont do o/t mate, been there done it years ago. would,nt even consider it these days. mind you, when i used to do it, you used to get paid 7hrs 15mins for a full duty on overtime, but you were in the house/bar/football ground by 1400. happy times.

They must be saving thousands with Park & Loop in our office, because the other day one of the bosses authorised payment of 6 hours o/t for two bags of a cut off

if the manager knows that he/she cant find anyone else to do it then they'll pay out more, otherwise they have to do it themselves for free
