Peterborough Christmas Casual Starting tomorrow

Hi,

I am supposed to be starting as a Christmas casual tomorrow in Peterborough. At first they called me and gave me an address in Orton to turn up for work. They have sent an email on friday that they have changed the work place to the Royalmail, Shrewsbury Avenue. I went around today to have a look to be sure of the address and could not find the Royalmail building. Does anybody here know where the Royal mail is in Shrewsbury Avenue, Peterborough. Can you please give me some directions. Thanks..

check your email again,,and see if it has a postcode,, then google multimap.. and type in the post code. if you have no luck there,, go a bit erlier and ask or keep an eye out for RM vans,,, cant be of anymore help.. sorry m8.

Thanks John. I was sent an email with the postcode PE2 7LA and i have checked it on google etc., went there and could not find any Royalmail board. As you said I will go there early and try to find it again. Thanks again for your reply..

Welbeck Way

It's not that far away from Shewsbury Ave on Google Maps so it may be the office they meant

Thank you for the reply. Even I thought the same. But, this delievry office doesnt exist anymore. I have been around to have a look.

Had the same problem, Its called The Outhouse, it has no signs, its at the bottom of shrewsbury Avenue, Just before the pet food place on the left.

Yes,some of the places you guys will go to are not official Royal Mail buildings...

The Royal Mail is setting up nine parcel hubs to cope with the expected Christmas increase in packages.

The temporary centres at Glasgow, Edinburgh, Swansea, Swindon, Watford, Bristol, Peterborough, Manchester and Nuneaton will run until 24 December.

Same for Nuneaton. The letter said Coventry South Mail Sorting Centre. No such thing in google. Royal Mail Website not helpful either. Asked Angard. Got a Post Code in Nuneaton, which is NORTH of Coventry. Went there the day before. Couldn't find anything, no neighboring company knew anything. Met other casuals looking for the place.
Then found a rundown warehouse which was for sale/let. The people there waved us away. Only persistence got them to the gate. Yes, this is the place.

Asked Angard how to get there, because there is no bus going there. Neeed to walk from the bus stop for 30 minutes. Very funny at night.
Answer from Angard: That's your problem. We are not responsible to tell you how to get there.
Very helpful, very kind.

Then, found out the first day, there is a shuttle bus. Asked the driver when and where the bus starts when going to the site.
Same answer: don't know.

What kind of company is this Angard?

shuttle bus thats news to me lol havent seen that anywhere near the site,cant see them laying on transport for that dont be a minute late though as you will get a warning from the chiefs there,i didnt do bad found it the day before i started only took me a hour and then also had to frogmarch 4 others up there on my 1st day as they all went to the white building up the road wrong site completely amazing the intelligence some of the angard staff have good job i came along as think they would have been there all day

i think the reason that lot of the angard staff are going to the wrong building is because that the peterborough evening telegraph put the picture for that white building in the paper and on the web site as this is the site(this is not correct) that they have taken on as there new shrewsbury avenue sorting office wich is the old card factory site . bloody Muppet at the et are causing all this trouble .
so angard staff go towards the peddergry pet foods, its just out side their gates the enterence to the left as you face peddigry pet foods/mars .
