When does the 2012/2013 year start and finish for holidays?

Hi,

Not sure where to ask this one.

Does the RM financial year always start April 1st and end March 31st?

Reason why I ask is its nearly time for handing out holiday sheets in and I notice Easter is early in 2013, with Good Friday landing on March 29th. Also in 2012 June 5th has been declared a bank holiday for the Queens Diamond Jubilee.

So will we actually have 10 bank holidays in the 2012/2013 period?

New Year's Day Holiday January 2
Good Friday April 6
Easter Monday April 9
Early May Bank Holiday May 7
Spring Bank Holiday June 4
Diamond Jubilee Holiday June 5
Summer Bank Holiday August 27
Christmas Day December 25
Boxing Day December 26

The late May bank hol has been moved to merge with the bonus Jubilee one, to give most professions excluding us a 4-day long weekend

Just picked 4th week A/L and noticed 2013 final week is w/c 18 March 2013.
So if I'm right the leave 2012/13 is w/c 26 March 2012 - w/c 18 March 2013.
