Ok, in our office a job had become temp available, so the manager had put a "handwritten" advertisment up on our office wall. He said that if your interested please tell him verbally before a certain time to be considered. Another person got that temp job (duty holder is off doing deputy manager) as he was senior to me, fair enough. But now his duty is free and i asked the manager when will his duty be advertised. He said it will not full stop. I argued with him over it but he will not back down, he will NOT explain why.
What is the legalitys of his so call "job advertisment" is he even allowed to do it the way he has? He seems to be a lightweight and seems to trip himself up while under pressure and tells lies! I was promised this job but i dont care about that, i just want to sit on the avail run. But he will not let me! Its gotten the whole offices back up about this.
Any advise please, thanks in advance!

If its only a temp job then the duty he left would be covered by a reserve,it can't go on the board as the guy has only left it temporarily.

If it is a permanent job you are right to make fuss, but it is temporary job so and what this guy suppose to do when he or she finish with the temporary job.
