Wage deduction

I had a POAL deduction of £9 in todays payslip, payroll are really busy so i have given up waiting on the phone, anyone know what it is and has anyone else got the same deduction?

I've got a form here, cut off date is 28th Feb 2011

On Entry: Four and a half week's contratual holiday Percentage adjustment

Option 1: 5 Week's holidays 1%
Option 2: 6 Week's holiday 3%

Standard after 5 year's service

Option 3: 5 week's holidays 0.6%
Option 4: 6 week's holidays 2.6%

Standard after 15 year's service - five week 1 days'
holiday
Option 5: 6 week's holiday 1.6%

The Document title is called 'OPG POAL' and is stored on the HR Help Intranet

I have been purchasing extra annual leave ever since the way forward started but its never been taken off me as a seperate amount before. i understood it comes off your basic pay therefore allowing a bit of saving on tax and ni.

I pay for leave as well and nothing shows on my payslip. However, Royal Mail are in the process of changing the HR system so you may be on the new system and I am still on the old. Has your pay number changed, apparently that is due to happen as well.

My pay number changed last week, also got deducted for the POAL today(assumed its the 2 weeks I buy). Delivery supplement was broken down into 2 separate amounts

It also shows if you are on the cycle 2 work scheme, also check your basic amount compared to last week, it all adds up to the same just a full breakdown on what you earned less all deductions PSP thingy

Yes - thats what you pay for - its like your putting a little away for the extra week and RM give it back to when you take them.
