revision money trigger
been asked to quiz the brains on here regarding our money for revisions. there are 'serious' rumblings in the office which suggest unofficial industrial action, if you know what i mean. we,ve done the del/methods, we,ve agreed to 3pm last letter, we got the wsm in late july, another local office got their 600 quid for the machines, but they havent had their revision yet. planners been back in to see if it can be paid??? (wtf) can anyone on here lay it on the line as to what gives us our 600/800 quid. before we go to the gate we need to be sure we are justified.,,,,,,fish/dingo/clash anyone??

Re: revision money trigger
Having walk sequenced mail doesn't entitle you to any more money. You have to have a walk sequenced revision. This should also involve the introduction of the 39hr week.
The walk sequenced revision brings with it £800 which is split £600/£200.
The delivery methods revision brings £200.

The delivery methods revision brings £200.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Re: revision money trigger
I'm always a little wary when people start saying other offices have got this and that. Sometimes people are being wound up.
If an office has had a walk sequenced revision it should have received the initial £600 with £200 to follow as per the agreement Postman posted.
They may still be on 3hr 30 walks due to the physical constraints of their deliveries.
It may be due to their full-time/part-time ratio.
If they haven't had a delivery methods revision then they should still be on 3hr 30 deliveries in the absence of any other local agreement.
Did your office agree to move to later start times without any reward?

Re: revision money trigger
So you had £200 for the delivery methods revision.daveyeff wrote: we have had an office repick a year gone october, this was after ALL the duties were made up to 4hrs 45mins, we are using vans for park and loop, we are using trollies, we are doing 2 deliveries in the van hence the 4hrs45min. we are on 9 day fortnites and 3weeks on one off. a total of 156hs a month= 39 hrs a week. ,,,,,is this not a walk sequenced revision??? ive had about a dozen phone calls tonight asking me what the score is!! they are ready to walk. the rep is off at the moment. can anyone advise!
The walk sequenced revision should take place with the introduction of walk sequenced mail. The idea being that walk sequenced mail is quicker to prep and consequently should decrease your indoor time. (The natural progression being as you decrease the indoor time you increase the outdoor time but if the duties are already 4hr 45 .....)
The revision should aim to align the hours to the workload.
You need to speak to your Area Rep if your unit rep is off at the moment because he will know the ins and outs of your office better than any of us on here.
Your Area Rep should be able to tell you when you should expect to have the revision that will entitle you to the £800 or if there are reasons why you haven't had it yet.
Is the revision working?

Re: revision money trigger
the new duties came in october 2010, duties were lapsed/done away with to make way for bigger longer duties(4,45min). this meant we were doing 2 duties in a van, 2 posties. using a trolley. also from october 2010 we were introduced to 9 day fortnights and 3 weeks on and a week off. then this july our times were changed to later starts and the introduction of the wsm. if this is NOT a walk sequenced revision what is?POSTMAN wrote:Just re read this,it sounds like a yes cause you got WSM in July, then a revision on Oct.daveyeff wrote:we have had an office repick a year gone october, this was after ALL the duties were made up to 4hrs 45mins, we are using vans for park and loop, we are using trollies, we are doing 2 deliveries in the van hence the 4hrs45min. we are on 9 day fortnites and 3weeks on one off. a total of 156hs a month= 39 hrs a week. ,,,,,is this not a walk sequenced revision??? ive had about a dozen phone calls tonight asking me what the score is!! they are ready to walk. the rep is off at the moment. can anyone advise!POSTMAN wrote:Edited my post above as i think i read your's wrong, like clash said...Have you?You have to have a walk sequenced revision. That is when you should have started the conversation about the outstanding £800.
But like I said the revision will aim to align the hours to the workload. They will want to take hours out of your office before you qualify for the money.
Phone an Area Rep in the morning.

Re: revision money trigger
I would do what clash says and get onto your ADR asap.
To be fair, you still 'Technically' did not have a WSM revision, you only changed your start times when the WSM came in.
Which loads of offices have done.
Now that is how it looks 'on paper',as frustrating as it is.
Your ADR may say different though.

What you have described is a Delivery Methods revision which gets £200 - sounds like you have had it.daveyeff wrote:the new duties came in october 2010, duties were lapsed/done away with to make way for bigger longer duties(4,45min). this meant we were doing 2 duties in a van, 2 posties. using a trolley. also from october 2010 we were introduced to 9 day fortnights and 3 weeks on and a week off. then this july our times were changed to later starts and the introduction of the wsm. if this is NOT a walk sequenced revision what is?POSTMAN wrote:Just re read this,it sounds like a yes cause you got WSM in July, then a revision on Oct.daveyeff wrote:we have had an office repick a year gone october, this was after ALL the duties were made up to 4hrs 45mins, we are using vans for park and loop, we are using trollies, we are doing 2 deliveries in the van hence the 4hrs45min. we are on 9 day fortnites and 3weeks on one off. a total of 156hs a month= 39 hrs a week. ,,,,,is this not a walk sequenced revision??? ive had about a dozen phone calls tonight asking me what the score is!! they are ready to walk. the rep is off at the moment. can anyone advise!POSTMAN wrote:Edited my post above as i think i read your's wrong, like clash said...Have you?You have to have a walk sequenced revision. A walk sequenced revision - This is when another revision is carried out to take account of you getting you coded in delivery order. This gets you the £600 + £200.
If you are getting walk sequenced mail but have not had a revision to take it into account then it does not qualify your office for the £600 + £200.
You should be getting a revision sometime within the life of the 2010 agreement - I would check with ADR and DOM to see when your revision is planned.
