jubilee arrival of work

Have not yet had a revision in our office yet, are now being told that from the 24 jan our work will arrive from jubilee as nine elms closes . offices which do not have revisions in place will be allocated slots for work to arrive , which may result in later start times . there are early slots yet there is no guarantee to get the slots even after revision in place . the revision is wanted to be in place and running after xmas yet seems we are rushing into it. Have any other offices had this put to them .

They are trying this on in our area . Start times in my understanding should not change until P&L revision is implemented..... This is the national agreement..... What we went on strike for...... When it does come in their should be benefits for employees as well as the buisness i.e 39 hr week, less saturdays worked, £500 payment etc etc.

I find it most unreasonable management want to cherry pick the best bits out of a package which should include benefits for all. When they get the bits they want can we trust them to give us our benefits in future.... I think NOT (remember colleague share ). Sad but true

My take... stick together stay strong and you should get the full support of the union at all levels

I think your find the the South West London inward work won't be coming in January or anywhere near that date.

Well the big issue is they cannot get anyone from nine elms or east or the mount to go to jubillee to transfer their to actually process the SW inward or transport the work back to SW London.

In addition the quality of Jubillee has nose dived since the Guildford inward went into jubillee and if and when they take on the south west work jubillee will become the biggest inward mail centre in the uk and therefore before they take on the SW work they have to sort the Guildford problems and get some staff to transfer to jubillee to process the work .

So how long is a piece of string ?

does not sound to promising , why then is the rep pushing for the revisions , not even a peep from the managers

This is due to the fact it has not been announced yet and your rep and manager would not know .
