backless frames/current situation

as i am on the sick at the moment, news on our revision is a bit belated at the moment

i have just found out that our office has 21 backless frames on order

may i ask what the official cwu position is on this

is it in disagreement
has it been accepted

i wa under the impression this had not been agreed in delivery office as it was world clas mail

i have been in touch with wimbledon and they are as much use as a chocolate teapot

No so much as acceptance but a lets have a review in January and see how well it working. Bringing it under the IR framework means allows reps to jump all over it if RM come up with innappropiate propolals for implementation. For my D.O if RML wanted it in I would demand to see a detailed lay out of the office as I cant see it being practical without a bigger building.

They showed me a detailed office lay out and even allowed me to go around with a surveyor, main flow process manager for my area and the construction company!!!

They were going to throw out the old IPS frames in my office last week, in preparation of installing these backless frames. That is, until my rep pointed out that as we didn't actually have the new frames there would be no IPS. There is useless, then incompetent, then RM managers.
Oh, and there is no where to install them as the whole office needs to be shifted around. It feels, at times, that he is dealing with children.

Is there anything written down regarding aisle width? We can barely move along the aisles in my office. If anyone is sitting down you can't get down the aisle carrying a perstop without tripping up something, whether its the chair base or bags/trays.

the minimum gap is 1.5 metre on a h&s issue

Yes--this question came up a while back--and somewhere in the posts you should find all the info re. space.

got them in our office, they are a nightmare, watch out for the elastic at back of frame it tends to ping off, good idea but it doesnt work...

I love the backless frames, you sort the letters in the front and they fall out the back. Great idea :) bit of job creation someone picking all the mail up and we have to sort it again.

What do you expect working for R?M--LOL I remember a couple of years back, they were talking of revolving frames---I wonder what speed they would expect you to do on one of those------------------
