Had no Annual Leave this year

Post by Schneebs »

So basically at the beginning of this year i went on 3 months unpaid leave (went traveling) and managers kept my job open, and came back in april. The day i came back i asked what dates are my leave this year, they said oh we'll sort it out later. Months passed of me pestering them constantly when it was, I didnt mind a massive deal as was getting some decent money back into my account from the overtime, up until around june/july and i went to my managers and said, so seriously when is my leave this year would like some time off, knackered etc. The reply i got back was, oh your not getting any because your leaving us at the end of the year (???????), which i am, but that shouldn't make a difference, it's in my contract to have annual leave. God knows why i never sorted this out sooner but was kind of busy organising things out for next year. Surely i am entitled to get this pay off them, how would i go about doing this, bearing in mind ive been moved to a different office up until i leave (probably has something to do with it)

You'll either take it as time off OR they have to pay you any accrued holiday as pay when you leave.

the statutory minimum holiday entitlement is 28 days a year which can include bank holidays

holidays i believe are still april to april
