Is this more cost cutting on footwear

Ordered replacement Magnum shoes, got them about a week later, now my old ones were quite comfortable these new ones I have now been wearing for about a week and my feet are killing me, so I thought why are these so uncomfortable, I have taken the insole out of my old Magnums and compared it to the new ones, well what do you know the insole on the new pair are paper thin compared to the old insole that had a bit of cushioning to them, more money saved at our expense i think.Have contacted uniform and told them that the Magnums are now not fit for purpose , they told me that no one else has complained and that i must have a rogue pair. Cannot have any more footwear now without managers say so, what a joke.

Just wore my new magnums today and my feet are aching too. Will check later and maybe replace the insoles with the old ones.

and more people will come off work sick with injuries on leg/knee/feet and cost more money on sick pay and overtime. STOP THIS CUTTING COSTS. Why not use your energy to increase profit by increasing quality and business not cost cutting.

good footwear is essential for the job, its a false economy, because a lot of injuries can be prevented by good footwear.

ROYAL MAIL SAYS- thanks for ur feedback but our CEO needs a fat pay , plus fat goodbye bonus. plus our managers bonuses who just stand & stare all day. we hope by getting cheap shoes we will be able to save that amount for the future. cuz every little helps. we hope being a collegue u wont mind delivering on bare feet to fulfill company obejectives and profits.

None of the shoes/boots are ideal.
Docs are good but they take too long to break in.
Magnums can be worn straight from the box but they are poor quality and you have to scuff the sole first or you look like Bambi on ice.
The Cats remind me of those boots deep sea divers wear..
The Cat trainers look terrible..

Apart from the look of the Polio boot, I scuff the soles as instructed, and to me they are ok not ideal just ok

I am wearing a new pair of Mags and they do seem to pinch the inside and outside of the bottom of my foot, if that makes sense.

I found another pair of old issue boots............comfortable and the grip is amazing.............I wish they'd go back to them.

I need some decent boots for Winter, i,m 90% driving , but need something warm, waterproof, with good grip and comfortable ( but comfort not as essential to me as to someone who pounds the streets for 4-5 hours )

What would you recommend if you could pick from the whole market, not just the crap that RM offers ?

Cat boots, 3rd pair, had them a couple of months and there's a hole in the sole at the heel already.
