Most of the new RM van's seem just as safe as any other vehicle on the road. There are still some of the old sherpa's in our office and those things are deathtraps in comparison to the new vans.

on a serious note, i always wear my belt in my car, but still leave it off for 50 yard dashes in a van

Most RM vans would not pass a MOT in A Normal Garage,wich leads to the conclusion their MOTS(RM) ARE QUESTIONABLE AT BEST

When you get a van back ,where the bumper is held on by a cable tie,you can see the road from a hole around 6 inches lonn and 3 inches wide,the brakes fail after a month of the new mot.

The Side door of the newer LDV crew busses either does not shut coreectly so much is a large gap between the door and the van
and in 2 different cases the side door has fallen off.

All RM equipment is poor quality.

I got given a Transit the other day and it only had half a seat, was full of pasty wrappers and fag ash.

And who deposited the fag ash and wrapers was it the mot tester ? ...... i'd say any testers do it to the correct standard as mandated by 'vosa' who no doubt pay regular visits to all mot stations and visit my mates garage on a fairly regular bassis
