ATOS VERY IMPORTANT!!!!

May seem a bit dramatic but I think its a good idea for anyone who will be dealing with atos or is currently under a referral to make sure you get your reports off of them.
INSIST on it from the start of any referral.

cant go into my case until its over but one very important report was missing from my case which made it possible for my dim to sack me.

cant prove right now what went on but we know atos is employed by rm.

that is very true ive had dealing with ATOS and have all my reports... because Royal mail will try to get rid of anybody who has not got thier own reports..

Late last year I was referred to ATOS and didnt recieve a report. Rang ATOS and thay said I had to ask for it in writing. Did this and got my ATOS report by recorded delivery within a week.

I asked for my records and one was missing.
Now only because I was looking for something specific did i realise something wasn't right.

They work for rm so they will play to their tune.

If your looking for a document off Atos and you know for certain it exsist why don't you just Freedom of Info the smeggers?

The Freedom of Information Act only applies to public authorities or bodies as defined by the Act itself.
We are...ATOS aren't.
If ATOS hold the report then a FOI won't work.
What will work is a nasty letter from your solicitor quoting Section 7 of the Data Protection Act 1988.
They are your medical records...you are entitled to see them.


an individual is entitled—

(c)to have communicated to him in an intelligible form—

(i)the information constituting any personal data of which that individual is the data subject, and

(ii)any information available to the data controller as to the source of those data, and

(d) where the processing by automatic means of personal data of which that individual is the data subject for the purpose of evaluating matters relating to him such as,has constituted or is likely to constitute the sole basis for any decision significantly affecting him, to be informed by the data controller of the logic involved in that decision-taking.

You mean people actually hear back from ATOS at all? We've had many over the years who ask to be referred to them and nothing ever happens.

Have you complained to Atos yet, and exhausted their channels ?
No one above them will help until this has been done ..... try here
