Double slots

my frame has 900 calls and about 120 of the slots on my frame are for 2 delivery points.
The Dom is complaining about my throwing off speed at my frame (it was OK before P/L ).when I never had doubles.
Having these doubles on my frame slows things down considerably especially when you have to put 5 households in one slot TWICE with the 2 houses mail and flats etc. its a joke. Mail gets squashed and ripped
Asked for a bigger frame so to have all singles and was told due to health and safety it cant be done because it would block the isle up.
Surely if RM cant give you the tools how are we expected to do the job properly.
Are there others with doubles on frames because someone told me they have stopped using them?

A lot of my frame is double slotted.... I don't find it that bad but I guess it might be just that I'm used to it after all these years. I guess you'll get used to it with a bit more time.

I have one where a sad old couple live and I swear they order every catologue get every bit of junk mail etc and have to bundle a lot of there mail separately for taking with the packets but apart from that!

No.
Ideally it would be but a single base RM2000 with 4 wings only has 560 slots.
You could play about with the design and use an L-shape like Johnny's.

It's not an ideal solution, but we made another frame up, as by rights you can only have so many wings fitted (can't remember the number at the moment), as I say, it's not ideal, but it does make it easier than dealing with thw double slots.

Not had P&L revision yet, but a fair number of frames in my office are on double slots, had them in mine for ages, kinda used to it but still a PITA when I get hammered with magazines/flats/D2Ds etc.

single slots are an ideal world
also good for just delivering where you are going with D2Ds

I have trebles on mine and have to use the top shelf of the fitting. My shoulder is feeling the strain
