attendance procedure stages.
i was just looking through the attendance procedure agreement, and i,ve noticed it states ' 4. UNSATISFACTORY ATTENDACE PATTERN.( where an employee is on a stage 2), it says where an employee has successfully achieved the standard expected, he will revert to the previous stage. namely be put back to stage one.???? has the procedure been changed? i know there are people in my office who, having been on a stage 2, reverted back to zero after having no absences in the 12 months they were on the stage 2. the reason im asking is because i,m due back on rehab next week after 9 weeks out for a knee replacement. and i know they,ll try to issue a 2 if they can. even though im under dda, and was in dock for corrective surgery. cheers for any feedback.

Re: attendance procedure stages.
DDA will be advised by their HR,(Devils I call em!), that it will be a "local agreement". Due to your operation and symptoms a stage 2 will not allow you to receive treatment should your condition relapse. If your sick is good then that also is a plus. In order for you to revert to a stage zero, don't go over 4 days in the 12 month period.

Re: attendance procedure stages.
That's how they did it with me, when I was on a Stage 2. I went back down to a Stage 1, after the year was up. But whether that's changed since, or not. I don't know. It was a while ago.

Re: attendance procedure stages.
drb is right.
4 or less takes you right off the procedure.
It was added later.
This is a copy of the most up to date version of the attendance procedure available from HR.

It also references the Equality act 2010 rather than the now defunct DDA.

Some of the older copies don't carry this.2. MINIMUM NATIONAL ATTENDANCE STANDARDS - EMPLOYEES NOT ON TRIAL
Employees who have successfully completed their trial period are still required to maintain a high standard of attendance. Attendance may be regarded as warranting formal action if an employee who is not on trial has:
Stage 1: 4 absences or 14 days in a 12 month period
Stage 2: 2 absences or 10 days in any 6 month period during the next 12 months
Stage 3: 2 absences or 10 days in any 6 month period during the next 12 months
1 absence of 4 days or less will mean removal from the procedure.
