d2d on day off

on my day off person who did my duty prepped his quota of d2ds but only delivered where he was going leaving me with rest to deliver next day.
i instructed line manager i wasnt prepared to do someone elses work and was not doing the d2ds not covered.
upon saying this line manager told me i would do as im instructed its my responsibility to make sure all d2ds are done by end of week regardless of what day cover does.
said they would speak to person responsible aye right .
i then said if i was forced to do these i would cut off to which i was threatened with count of non att calls, prep rate etc. again i said i would cut off then threatened with performance and i will stand beside you , i then said fine i will still cut off then was told say that again and your in office for your attitude im sure my collegues will back me up, i said im sure they will its called bullying.
where do i stand on this issue advice please

If you've the time to do them then you have to do them, I would put in a grievance against the DOM for failing to enforce the D2D agreement.

if he only delivered to the doors he was going to then he hasnt done his quota.,,,,,wilful delay surely. and if he only delivered to the doors he was going to, how are you supposed to know which ones they were, did he leave you a list of the doors he did,nt go to or had he prepped them in and left the ones there was no mail for?

Next week , the day before your day off just take the D2Ds where you're going and leave him to do the rest!

My D2Ds never get done on my day off ( and at the end of the week the box under my frame mysteriously gets filled up with someone else's un-used ones - but thats another story). I always try to get them all done even if the other person hasn't, just so I know my round is all done properly. But I'd make sure you tell your manager as well incase there's any come back.

We have day to day control sheets. It is the floor managers job to check these have been filled in daily. If they are not filled in by the reserve or floater then as I long as I have done my quota if there are excesses it is not my problem.

I've had this problem in the past, I just pull out the ones not done be floater and stick them back under my frame.

As a rural floater i do all Door to Doors of the 1/6th of the run that i'm supposed to do and many times that means going up long lanes with a leaflet.All the floaters in our office have different ways of doing it but it was very badly brought in ,no plannig just told arrange it amongst yourselfs.

you need to remember people that all door to door is classed as live mail

20 % needs to be done each day even if there is no regular post ,only leaflets going to an address

thats exactly what i said in my previous post on this thread. as you say it is classed as live mail, and if you dont take it, especially if you cant be arsed, then i would think you.d be looking down the barrel of your p45. if the op is being pressured by that twat of a lino, then surely he could open a right can of worms here. i know i would.

If the day off cover is not taking the minimum 1/6th then it is surely their neck on the line, the duty holder should have every right to not deliver items willfully left behind by the cover, simply because there was no letters to go with marketing for some addresses?

If the day off cover pulls the "but if I did the 1/6th D2D I could not complete in time" trick then the cover needs a refresh on how to correctly cut-off, allowing the lino to get all mail including D2D delivered.

I'm fortunate that the day off cover is expected to deliver the D2D to the same road week in week out, no exceptions, every address. However, I'm aware of duty holder colleagues around me getting a raw deal by selective D2D delivery on their day off, yet they will not raise an issue with the lino and simply deliver the extra D2D that was not theirs to deliver!

2.If your cover left a tray of 1st class on your day off would it be your right not to deliver it?

Unfortunately,despite being unfair,the duty holder if instructed by management has to do it or he/she could get done for willful delay/ignoring a reasonable instruction.
The duty holder should then with the aid of the rep get it sorted so it doesn't happen again,and i would give who ever left the s**t a bollocking.
