Does anyone know of any offices in N.Ireland that have had a successful revision ?

Told this morning that there are a couple but I do not believe it.

I heard Craigavons OT has gone thru the roof, posties saying it does not work. Other offices put on hold till next year.

Total bollocks they have not got a clue or manager told us this morning the they are preparing for bad weather this winter.

One of the guys who delivers the mail to DOWNPATRICK, was talking to someone from there, this morning and he said its the biggest shambles he has ever seen, there is 4 people at the sorting in the mornings and the rest of them double prep, it takes 4 times longer than it used to. They are not allowed to leave there frame and collect there mail, the planners have said that is the porters job. He even said that they are not allowed to use there mobile phone while prepping.
If they ever bring these changes into are office, the men will walk out. Good luck to all the guys in DOWNPATRICK.

Managers are really trying it on again, not allowed to talk........or laugh...........or talking on your phone............don't know about going to the toilet but I know some of our guys would relieve themselves where they stand .

If all these things don't make people do the job properly then we are truly screwed.

got talking to a postie from Downpatrick this morning who says management dont let them eat or drink at the frames no more claiming it has always been a rule in RM but never inforced. The layout of there office has been changed taking them longer to get the guys out as only 4 sorters and a porter this is all the IWT allows according to mail volumes, all this smells like world class mail in deliveries where are the union in all this?

If this was to happen at our place I hope the guys would have the balls to walk.

Depends on what you call successful. I suspect in Royal Mails case it entirely depends on how much money you save.

Craigavon isn`t working. Towns leaving mail everyday. Lapsing Mondays and Tuesdays (including delivering D2D`s), not paid buff on Tuesdays. Bullying and intimidation as bad as ever. Two senior managers visited last week to hear peoples views, apparently Portadown were only allowed 15 minutes while Lurgan didn`t get to ask any questions!

I notice the mail centre manager at NI has been brought over to get the new HCN mail centre up and running,can anyone provide feedback on how he operates and his track record.
