cwfs policy payout warning

i thought i would warn everybody about the possible maturity payout of your ex cwfs life/endownment being ridiculously low!!

The forester life group have taken over these policies and a salesman now calls to give your your final offer when the policy is due.

my policy is a 10 year one which matures this week.i have paid in £1014 out of my wages in total.the maturity value is £1070!!!!

my advice-if you have your original documents- check through.i have growth rates of between 4% and 8% and the indication of a final bonus to be paid.

i have now complained to foresters formally and am awaiting an improved offer.if i have no joy then i will refer them to the fsa

There were rumors 10 months ago, that (cwfs) were in trouble

I surrendered mine in DEC, I had paid in about £5000...got back about £5200, then put the money into an ISA.
I hope you get an improved offer, if you went the full term, I thought the bonus calculated had to be given...I lost 75% of the bonus, as i ended the policy myself.

However, just a friendly warning - there is a member of CWFS who lurks on here so please make sure any comments are factual and above board. Any libellous comments will have to be removed and a warning issued - this is to protect RMC for being sued nothing else.

Endowment policies just aren't worth it after the long time you have to stash the money away though it is a good discipline for those whom are not good savers.
A regular saver at a bank or building society are better with a shorter lengh saving and more transparent interest rates.
The good times are over for savers and carpetbaggers like myself!

my policy is for over 15 years and have got five to run but since the takeover i dont know who or where to contact anyone regarding my policy ....can anyone help with websites or numbers i can call tec ...many thanks a worried posty
