question about uniform sizes

am just about to order my first uniform and am wondering how the sizes on the labels compare to reality. have been caught out in previous jobs with kit being on the very stingy side. is anyone able to give, for example, actual waist size and the size of RM trousers/shorts that you comfortably wear. particularly as i prefer my kit to be a little on the loose side (can't always avoid those fat days!)

must say though it was a big relief to see that i can order un hemmed trousers- a 35" inside leg is usually a nightmare to kit out!

I found the uniform bigger than normal size. For instance I usually get extra large shirts.... when I ordered new RM xl shirts there was enough room in them to house half a dozen asylum seekers!

Im guessing 35i, I came to that conclusion by the quote my inside leg is 35i

i got my new uniform last week, the sizes i ordered were all pretty good, the trouser leg and waist sizes ordered all fit nicely and the polo shirts havent shrunk in the wash, just dont tumble drier them as the badge didnt like it!

so id say order the correct size you think and all will be good

Do these so called uniforms actually exist? I've filled out there forms, been told there are boots actually on the premises and still no so called uniform has appeared. My clothes, trainers times two pairs wasted and rain jacket getting hammered by pouch strap on shoulder. I don't believe there actually are any uniforms never mind different sizes.

Mine took a week between ordering and arrival at the office. Are you phoning the uniform order line or through your manager?

as for the other comments i'm about 6'3 and legs are actually a little longer than 35" but i like to wear them a little low. no taking the mick tho or i'll be sending my 3 older (and much bigger!) brothers round

The new "storm proof" jackets and cagoules come up massive! I ordered a small in both and they were huge and how long do they think our arms are! To put it in perspective my boss is a normal size XL yet the medium fitted perfectly
The trousers however are spot on
The shorts are too short (above my knees) everyone elses are below and have to be turned up!
Shirts are good enough fit.
